The First Responder Mental Wellness Awareness Course is a 3-hour program designed to educate and equip first responders with tools to address mental health challenges. The course covers three key areas: awareness of common mental health issues like PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance misuse; self-care and resiliency, including techniques for physical, emotional, and social well-being; and peer support, focusing on recognizing distress in colleagues and creating a supportive environment. Participants will gain valuable insights, practical self-care strategies, and access to mental health resources to foster a healthier, more resilient workforce.
