REACT Peer Support Training (In Person)

The purpose of REACT is to develop knowledge, confidence, and tools to discuss mental health problems with other first responders, including suicidal thoughts and behaviors. REACT provides psychoeducation, skills, and time for skills practice to ensure mastery of the tools presented. REACT uses a peer-to-peer model focusing on the identification and prevention of the impact of stress injuries and mental health symptoms in first responders, tools to help manage tough conversations, and a discussion of the next steps when someone is struggling.
